We spoke to Justin Reinert, US Director of Talent, about the importance of investing in our people.
When I joined Specialist Staffing Group (the US division of SThree plc) back in 2015, I was excited to be part of a company that shared my ideology about the importance of training and developing employees.
My primary goal is to make sure our employees receive not only the best training in the staffing industry, but a world-class training experience that will serve them for their entire careers. My team and I have developed high-quality programs for individuals at every level- from on-boarding training for entry level employees, through to continuing education and management programs.
Specialist Staffing Group recognizes that our success as a business is directly correlated with the investment we make in our people. We strive to create great opportunities for employees, and empower them to develop professionally in order to grow their careers.
We are delighted this commitment to our people has resulted in us placing on Training magazine’s Training Top 125 for the past two years. In 2017, Specialist Staffing Group debuted on the list at 101, and in 2018 moved up to 90. Earning a spot on the Training Top 125 is such great industry validation of hard work. It shows that we are able to demonstrate the link between our training programs and on-the-job performance. I’m so proud of the work our team does to accomplish this feat and am excited to continue to move up in the rankings of this elite list of organizations.
About the Award
Training magazine is the leading business publication for Learning and Development professionals. Training magazine’s “Training Top 125” ranks companies’ excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs. Now in its 18th year, the Training Top 125 ranking is based on myriad benchmarking statistics such as total training budget; percentage of payroll; number of training hours per employee program; goals, evaluation, measurement, and workplace surveys; hours of training per employee annually; and detailed formal programs. The ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.
“The 2018 Training Top 125 winners are game changers,” said Training magazine Editor-in-Chief Lorri Freifeld. “They constantly look for innovative ways to effectively deliver and measure employee training, and they are rewarded with an engaged, passionate workforce and organizational success. Congratulations to these stellar organizations for their unwavering commitment to learning and employee growth!”
