It is with great pleasure that we announce that SThree has been named a ‘National Champion’ for the United Kingdom in the 2016 European Business Awards.
This is an amazing achievement for us; 32,000 business of all sizes and all industries, from 33 countries across Europe competed in the awards, with National Champions going through to the awards finals. SThree fought off stiff competition to be named ‘National Champion’, and now represents the UK in the ‘Business of the Year Award with Turnover of €150m or higher’ category. In January, we will be presented with our National Champion certificate at an event at the London Stock Exchange.
Gary Elden, OBE and CEO of SThree after the announcement: “Being named National Champion at the EBAs is a phenomenal recognition of the hard work our teams across Europe and in other parts of the world have put in to drive success for SThree.
“We are proud of having played a key role in shaping the recruitment industry in the UK and Europe. Over the past 30 years, we’ve seen the UK market change and evolve and have come through our own challenging times to be the successful business we are today.
"This recognition reflects the commitment of our teams in all offices worldwide, and highlights our position as a leading British business on the global stage. Our focus on innovation, inclusion and customers puts us in a strong position to drive the industry forwards and I can’t wait to see where the future takes us.”
Why we are incredibly proud of this achievement
The European Business Awards is widely recognised as Europe’s largest and most significant cross-sector business competition and is supported by key business leaders, academics, media and politicians.
It’s an independent awards programme, sponsored by audit, tax and consulting firm RSM, set up to recognise and promote business excellence and best practice in the European business community.
All EU member markets were represented, plus Turkey, Norway, Switzerland, Serbia and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Their combined revenue exceeded €1.2 trillion employing over 2.5 million people.
This year’s list of nominations was put together by a panel of independent judges from across Europe, including leading business professionals, politicians, academics and entrepreneurs. Their decision was guided by the Awards’ key principles: Innovation, Ethics and Success, all of which are at the heart of what we do.
This is a truly great achievement and we would like to thank everyone at SThree who helped make this happen. We are really pleased to see that all of (y)our hard work is being recognised and rewarded at such a high level, and are excited about what the future holds for the business.
