SThree France is now in partnership with La Cravate Solidaire, a charity who offers clothing and accessories to job seekers who can't afford professional attire.
Gain insight into this partnership
Last week, two representatives from the non-profit association had a stand in SThree’s Paris office to promote the organisation and explain how employees can get involved.
Following this welcome day, SThree employees searched their wardrobes for any spare professional attire for the first clothing collection which took place in the office yesterday.
A collection of 37.5 kg of clothes
The association was happily surprised with the quantity and quality of the clothes given by SThree. In total they collected 37.5 kg of suits, ties, shirts, shoes, dresses and accessories.
La Cravate Solidaire said that considering the size of the office, it was a really good collect, so a big thanks to our French staff.
This event was also covered by TV network ‘France 3’ who are currently making a documentary on the association which will be broadcasted next week on French National TV.
What’s happening next?
As part of our collaboration with La Cravate Solidaire, SThree employees have registered to volunteer to run coaching sessions covering interview techniques and CV advice for job seekers in the Paris office.
The first coaching session will be organised at the end of March and will include:
- Initial meeting with the SThree volunteers and La Cravate Solidaire to prepare for the upcoming coaching sessions.
- One to one interview coaching sessions with the job seekers and role plays.
- Debriefing during which recruitment professionals will provide feedback to the attendees and propose a personal development plan summarising strengths and weaknesses to help them succeed in an interview.
- Finally, to round off the day there will be a get together where SThree staff and the attendees of the coaching session can share their experiences.
Going forward several more coaching sessions will take place.
