At the upcoming Women in Sales Awards (WISA) Europe on the 8th of December, five of our talented employees will be attending having been shortlisted for the awards. Recently, they attended the Awards’ Judging Day to network with other women in sales from across Europe.
They raised awareness of the value of role models for women who are considering a career in sales. We spoke with each of them and asked about their experience at the event.

“I was really happy to have made it to the finals, and it must be how contestants on the X Factor feel when they get to the live shows. When they handed me the microphone to do my 60 second showcase on, “Why should you win?” I think I would have preferred to have been on the X Factor stage. It was quite scary, but I enjoyed the challenge and the day was an incredible experience.”
“There was an expert panel of speakers throughout the day, discussing things like digital disruption and effective mentoring, which was incredible and gave me a lot of food for thought walking away."
"The best part of the experience was meeting all of the incredible finalists, who all had their own story, challenges, success and personalities. These woman were an inspiration and I’m so glad I got to be there with them. Win or lose an excellent experience and an achievement I’m very proud of.”

“The WISA Judging Day was certainly an experience! I haven’t felt that excited and nervous for a long time."
"I was surrounded by very successful women and I instantly suffered from Imposter Syndrome and asked myself, how did I get here?! I then practiced my presentation on a few people at my table and they liked my story so that made me feel more confident!”
“My actual presentation was daunting, but it went well and then I had the pleasure of spending the day listening to experts speaking about some really interesting topics."
"I met some impressive people there, and I’m happy to say that one of the speakers has agreed to mentor me! The first session is booked in for next week.”

"Not what I had expected for the usual awards process though as it pushed me out of my comfort zone."
"Firstly well done to all of the SThree finalists and I think we all should be proud for being recognised in our relevant categories.”
“The day was very intense from the networking breakfast at 8 am. This followed with various speakers sharing experience and advice and then came the judging time. This consisted of a face to face presentation and Q&A with three judges followed by a one minute pitch on a microphone to the room.”
“It was a very daunting experience but the rest of the day was networking with judges and other finalists all from a variety of backgrounds within sales and some excellent Q&A sessions. Hearing other people's journeys and experience was really inspiring and I look forward to celebrating with our SThree ladies in December. Good luck!”

"This was a really rare and interesting perspective, as everyone has a different way of approaching sales and I have certainly come away with some new ideas,”
“It was also brilliant as some of those attending, work at businesses similar to our clients. It was great insight into how they prefer to be approached from a sales perspective and what information interests them."
"Everyone who attended was very engaged, and really made the most of the day which gave a really lovely energy throughout. The judging part itself was incredibly tough, and an invaluable experience. Really touched to have been nominated, and to have been able to take part in the day.”
