As a financial hub in the Asia-Pacific region, Hong Kong is home to a multitude of financial institutions such as Barclays, HSBC and Citibank expanding their market footprint in Asia.
To support them in growing their business and driving the region’s success in the financial sector, Huxley Banking and Financial Services, one of our main specialist brands, opened its first office in the region in 2008 and has since moved on at lightning speed.
But it’s not only the economy and our top tier clients we support, our local team in Hong Kong also want to give something back to the community.
A couple of weeks ago, it became apparent how important this commitment to making a difference is to our employees when they took part in Barclays' annual MoonTrekker event held at Lantau Island. Now in its 8th year, this event is a night-time hike where you can raise money for a great cause.
Taking part in this event, Christophe Younes and Isabella Rova, two of our recruitment consultant from the Hong Kong office, took off at 11pm and helped build bridges with the financial services’ community during this 8-hour-long 30km trek.
“It has been a beautiful and challenging all-night hike."
"Under the moonlight, we’ve experienced moments of real joy and were close to tears when climbing the top of the Lantau peak. We are so happy to have been part of this adventure and proud to have contributed to this fantastic cause,” commented Christophe and Isabella after the event.
Well done to both of you for taking on this charitable challenge!
Our Huxley team are looking forward to many similar events in the future playing their part in the Hong Kong community.
If you would like to find out more about the event, please email Christophe at [email protected] or visit the event website.
