We are delighted to announce that Joanna Abeyie, Managing Director of our latest brand Hyden, is one of the four overall winners of the Federation of Periodicals Publishers’ (FIPP) Rising Star Awards.
Their Rising Star Awards are given to people who have been highlighted as aspiring leaders and will have a big impact on the way the media industry will do business in the future.
Recruiting diverse talent
Joanna was nominated by her sister for her sterling work steering the diversity and inclusion agenda. She set up Hyden in July 2016, recruiting diverse senior leadership talent in the media and creative industries to allow her customers to build a more innovative and successful business.
Since Hyden was launched, Joanna has helped place more than 3,000 people from diverse backgrounds in permanent and freelance jobs in the creative industries.
An incredible journey
Joanna commented: “I am absolutely thrilled about winning this award as there was some really tough competition this year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody at SThree who has supported especially Gary Elden, Natasha Clarke and Kalpesh Baxi who have allowed me to take Hyden on an incredible journey over the last year”.
Joanna will attend the two day 41st FIPP World Congress next month where she will be presented with her award. She will also join the Specialist Stage where she will present ‘Talent: How diversity contributes to business success'.
Well done Joanna from all of us at SThree, this is a fantastic achievement!
