ASHLEY MCCUSKEY - CATEGORY: HR & RECRUITMENT
Senior Client Relationship Manager at Huxley Banking & Financial Services
Having grown up in Northern Ireland in the 1980's/90's, I moved to London in 2012 to begin my career at Huxley Banking & Financial Services in London. Like many of my colleagues I’ve never considered recruitment as a career and almost came in to the industry by accident through a friend’s referral. I studied Law, and although I realised it wasn't the career for me, I’ve been lucky to live and work in various locations globally, gaining invaluable experiences that would enable me to build a successful career.
In my spare time, I love to read fictional crime novels, travel, go to HIIT classes, spend time with family and friends and raise money for charities which are close to my heart, including MS Society, the UK’s leading Multiple Sclerosis charity.
In my role as a Client Relationship Manager, I’m operating at a strategic level and I'm solving problems by coming up with innovative ideas to propel us further in a highly competitive marketplace. I strive to be at the top of my game and demonstrate impeccable client service as I manage one of our largest accounts. I also love working with people and whilst my role can be challenging at times, I look at these challenges as something positive which will help me improve and progress even further.
KAYLEIGH BOTTOMLEY - CATEGORY: HR & RECRUITMENT
Associate Business Manager for Permanent Sales at Progressive Recruitment
I'm the eldest of eight siblings, four sisters and three brothers. I started a degree in Actuarial Science but after only one year a change in circumstances meant one of my sisters who was only 14 at the time needed to move in with me, so I secured a full time job with Santander to allow this to happen.
After three years, once my sister had secured a position in a foundation course for a mental health nursing degree, we moved to London and I started a brand new career with Progressive Recruitment, a trading division of SThree.
In the last six years, I've been through the highs and lows that come with a career in recruitment. However, I’m forever grateful for the platform this career has offered me which allowed me to champion the key beliefs I hold in life. Everyone deserves to be given an opportunity to reach their full potential. I’ve had the chance to grow by providing excellent customer service and by helping create a diverse and inclusive work environment for a creative and happy workforce.
I can look back on some great successes which I’ll always be thankful for, but truly believe it is my unwavering desire to assist my customers in making the right choices for their organisations or careers that has led me to where I am today.
NIKKI RICHARDS - CATEGORY: HR & RECRUITMENT
Key Account Manager at Huxley Banking & Financial Services
I graduated from Kings College London where I did a degree in Hispanic Studies so I’m proud to say that I’m fluent in Spanish. I pretty much fell into the crazy world of recruitment, as most of us do!
I’ve been working for Huxley Banking & Financial Services, one of nine brands within the SThree Group, for eight and a half years now, and it’s certainly been a rollercoaster ride.
As a hands on technology recruiter, a position I held for my first six years at Huxley, I went through many ups and downs experiencing a boom and a recession in the space of only 18 months.
I now manage two of Huxley’s largest accounts, overseeing 60 consultants on a daily basis which can be challenging at times. I thrive in demanding and fast-paced situations and when helping others – I wouldn’t have it any other way!
In my spare time, I’m constantly trying to beat my 10km and half marathon personal bests for various charities. I’m currently fundraising for Prostate Cancer UK to support my lovely grandad who is fighting this disease. In a nutshell, I’m honest, loyal and hardworking.
LEAH ROSS - CATEGORY: SALES
Associate Sales Team Manager Public Sector at Real Staffing
I left school at the age of seventeen because I wanted to earn my own money. Since then I’ve been working hard to achieve my career goals. After a successful six years working for a large Health Club brand I decided it was time for a career change; it was time to get my 'grown up' job.
I made the move to recruitment and joined SThree specialist brand Real Staffing. I knew that sales was a career that suits me, where I can build a successful career and can grow through the challenges I’ll face, and I haven’t looked back since!
I have been very lucky to work with some amazing people within a fantastic company. Whilst my time at Real Staffing hasn’t always been easy, I wouldn’t change it for the world and would recommend anyone who’s looking for a new challenge and would like to join an international and diverse company to get in touch.
MARY KAY - CATEGORY: SALES
Associate Sales Team Manager Pharma at Real Staffing
At the age of 20 I joined SThree as one of the youngest employees within the business. I took on the role of brand representative for diversity and inclusion for Real Staffing to make a difference for women in the business world and within the Life Science Industry in particular.
Today, I’m not only acting as a role model for diversity but I’m also one of the most successful female recruiters in the Pharma Sector worldwide. I’m also proud that as an expert in my market, I’ve been featured in various industry publications including TOPRA, The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs.
Outside of my normal job as a recruiter, I’m delivering training sessions to other SThree teams across the world. For example I’ve been flying to Frankfurt to help train the local Pharma team, and I’m delivering Road Shows in Europe and the UK to Directors to help implement an effective contract strategy.
In my free time, I’ve completed three skydives for charity and used this year’s annual leave to volunteer for two weeks at a refugee camp in Lesvos. This experience made a lasting impression on me and I wanted to do more which is why in the week upon my return I raised £2000 for the cause.
I’m also due to go to Calais in a few weeks to start training towards rowing the Atlantic next year - I can’t wait! I truly believe that there is no such thing as a limitation, and that anything is possible with resilience and a positive mind set.
