Julie Wood is our CSR champion in APAC and she tells us here about a local initiative to help young mothers back into work.
Our colleagues in Australia have partnered with the Raise foundation to support their Bump programme and volunteer their time to help young mothers get back into work. Participants benefit from weekly mentoring sessions and a series of interviewing techniques, role playing and CV writing workshops during school hours in terms 2 and 3. Some even go on to graduate with a TAFE Certificate II in Skills for Work and Training.
Here is some of the positive feedback we’ve had from Raise and the Bump programme participants:
“Both Sarah and Brooke were extremely impressed with the SThree team. They particularly mentioned how great they were at being sensitive to where each of our young mums were at on their journey and how they focused on empowering them and being empathetic. This was our first time having a corporate partner deliver this workshop and it was great to get this feedback. We loved the presentation you guys put together too, thank you for that!” said Barbara Burke, Partnership Manager at Raise.
