Congratulations to Ginnette Harvey, VP of Specialist Staffing Group, SThree’s Operations in the USA, for being named a ‘Woman of Influence' by the Chicago Business Journal.
Each year, The Chicago Business Journal asks a panel of business leaders to identify 50 successful women with strong community commitment and a track record of paying it forward. This is part of a national effort by American City Business Journals to celebrate women business leaders and create a culture of mentoring.
What Ginnette and the business have to say…
I am honored to be named a ‘Woman of Influence'. I am proud to work for a company that supports and empowers its female employees to succeed in an arena that has typically been a male dominated environment. I am excited to continue to expand our mid-west business in 2016 and continue to celebrate and develop the talented people that work for me, creating opportunities for all our employees”, says Ginnette.
After he heard about Ginnette’s great achievement, Morgan Kavanagh, Executive Vice President of Specialist Staffing Group, explained, “I am thrilled that Ginnette has been recognized for her leadership in business and in the community. She has built a highly profitable business in the Mid West that is primed to grow again in 2016, at the same time as taking a central role in our relationship with SOS Childrens' Villages and in our initiative to develop more women leaders. While we have long valued these achievements, it is fantastic to see that they have been recognized as exceptional by the broader business community in Chicago”.
More about Ginnette's career to date
Ginnette has an 'anything is possible' attitude which is evident from the fact that she has relocated twice to further her own career ambitions and those of the organization. She is a mother of a toddler and despite the demands of her job, manages to strike the balance between her work and personal life in a way that is inspiring to women across our business.
Ginnette was a founding member of our New York office before moving to Chicago in 2011 to open and head up our Mid-west operations. Her combination of an excellent track record in sales and her leadership skills is rare to find in the industry. The fact that she has managed to drive sales performance and create a culture of progressive thinking in every business she has been involved in has served her well as she has taken on larger and more demanding roles.
Supporting ‘Women in Leadership’
Ginnette is part of the US Board of Directors and was in fact the 1st female VP in our US Business. She has been integral to developing a ‘Women in Leadership' program for the USA. She recently helped develop the content for a Women's Leadership Program for our top 50 high potential women across the USA. She spoke on the subjects of personal branding, the importance of mentoring and sponsorship and helping to recognize and overcome the confidence gap and gender bias.
Additionally, Ginnette has developed a local partnership with SOS Children's Villages in the US and has been responsible for driving fundraising efforts in excess of $100k for the cause.
