SThree prides itself on being a company that supports career progression for all its people. Part of this means helping people find new opportunities within the company. We spoke with Mariati Hollander to find out more about her journey from pharma sales to talent acquisition. You can read more here.
Why did you decide to change jobs within SThree?
I always had the ambition to go to a corporate recruitment role. After 5 years of working for Real Life Sciences, when I was looking for another job, I started thinking about what kind of company I wanted to work for.
To me, it’s important to work in a big international and financial stable company. Next to that, I think it’s important that people treat each other with respect and that there is a good, approachable management. I realised that SThree passes all my requirements and wishes so questioned why I should change company and began looking at options internally.
In your opinion, why is an internal mobility offering important?
Keeping talent within SThree is very important for the future of the company. In my case, I know the company very well and can sell SThree and the brands because I know the company.
I know what to do as a Recruitment Consultant, I know the challenges you have to face, and the fun you will have. That is a benefit for Talent Acquisition. Best of all, I have the benefit of a new challenge in a company I know well and love.
How did SThree make your internal career switch possible?
I talked to my brand director, Olivier Kerckhove, and my manager, Annemarie Wuthrich. They supported me by talking to our Sales Operations Director, Claire Bonenfant, and Managing Director, Kurt Schreurs, explaining my wishes and motivation.
After a good conversation with Claire Bonenfant and Sander Gravenberch, Talent Acquisition Manager, we decided to make the switch. It was very helpful that I could have an honest conversation with my management.
How do you see your future in the company now?
In the future, I want to become a business partner for all the brands. But for now, I’m working on building my network and developing a partnership with all the decision makers.
