Let’s take a look at the story of Cristina Gual, a member of our Talent Acquisition Team in Belgium, who took the plunge and moved her career in a new direction.
How did you take advantage of the opportunity to change jobs within SThree?

I started at SThree eleven months ago as Talent Acquisition Consultant screening and engaging talent, which I enjoyed a lot. Working in Talent Acquisition enabled me to connect SThree to the outside world letting potential candidates know how great it is to be a part of this organisation.
After a while I wanted to embrace a new challenge to keep learning and developing. That’s why I got in touch with our specialist recruitment brand Real Staffing to see what a change to the Pharma sector could do for my career.
I’m now about to embark on my new path as a Pharma Recruitment Consultant and you can’t imagine how much I’m looking forward to it.
In your opinion, why is an internal mobility offering so important?
Today’s market is very competitive so it’s always presenting new opportunities and it’s very easy for people to look at their current role and if there’s not a possible promotion ahead then they can be easily attracted to an external role that offers them what they want, now.
Internal mobility can offer that same option of change but means you’re not losing a valuable talent, it’s a win-win situation for both employees and employer. It shows that a company truly values its people and it can contribute to a stronger employment brand.
How did SThree make your internal career switch possible?
I worked closely with Real Staffing during my time as a Talent Acquisition Consultant and it soon became clear that both parties were interested in taking our collaboration to the next level. It all started with a chat with my TA Manager about why I want to join Real and what I would need to be successful there.
What followed was an interview with the Real Team Manager and Director; and finally, we decided on the timing of my move. Everything was surprisingly easy and I felt really supported throughout the entire process.
So what does the future hold for you now?
Joining Real Staffing will give me the chance to interact and be the link between companies in the pharma sector and candidates looking for a new career opportunity, something I always wanted to do and I can’t wait to get started.
