SThree opens its first office in India (April 2010)
A demand for exceptional recruitment has led to the opening of SThree's first office in India.
From our Gurgaon office in the Delhi region, we are providing bespoke recruitment solutions to those businesses in our global client portfolio that have operations in India, as well as new clients within the Banking and ICT domains.
We are currently sourcing professionals for mid to senior roles for the Banking & Finance, IT and Mobile Telecom sectors.
Director Annil Chandel, overseeing the opening, said "India presents a huge opportunity for us. We've recognised that the Banking and ICT sectors are crying out for exceptional staff, and as a leading international Banking and IT recruitment consultancy, we can provide businesses with those skilled and experienced individuals they need.
"India's GDP growth has not been affected by the recession as many other countries, and 63% of Indian CEO's are 'very confident' of growth in the next 12 months. It's also encouraging to hear that 66% of companies in India expect to hire at the professional / managerial level in the first half of 2010.
"Growing opportunity for SThree, and India as a nation, will come from the increasing 'reverse brain drain', with the Indian Diaspora returning, and talent from Western countries wishing to relocate, giving us a large talent market to draw from. The average age of an Indian returnee is 30, 66% have masters degrees, 12% have PHDs and 44% will hold senior management positions when they return home.
"It's an exciting time for SThree, and we're confident of not only the business we are currently engaged in, but also the potential scope to expand in scale and geographic coverage."
