The Recruitment Process

This is the opportunity for you to find out more about us and us about you. Be ready to show us what you’re made of.

The recruitment process starts with a telephone interview with an internal recruiter. During the call, we’ll delve further into the CV you have submitted to us. It gives you the opportunity to bring your experiences and skills to life and sell to us why you would be ideally suited to the role of a recruitment consultant.

Should you be successful, you may be invited to an assessment centre. Here, we can meet you in person and give you further information about what we do and how we do it. You will also be assessed on the skills needed to be a successful Recruitment Consultant.

The next step is a face-to-face meeting with our hiring managers. Again, they will be assessing your suitability to their line of business. You may even be invited to give a short presentation on a certain topic. This will give you the opportunity to demonstrate your communication skills and your knowledge of our business.

In order for you to get a ‘real-life’ view of the role of a recruitment consultant, you may be invited to a work sample. This is your chance to get a taste of the role’s day-to-day activities. These include: communicating with candidates, managing the database and working with your future colleagues.

The process may seem long and intense but it’s designed to give you a true insight into what’s involved in working at SThree. It allows you to live and breathe our culture, so you’ll know for sure if this is the right career for you.

Interview Tips

Before you contact us, please ensure that you are fully prepared.

When selling your skills and experience, be sure to give real examples of what you’ve achieved. Think about any activities outside your working life that can support your experience. These could range from captaining a sports team to a self-funded trip.

We want to see the real you. Let your personality shine throughout the process. People often buy the person selling rather than just the product. So we need to see whether people would ‘buy’ you.

Don’t let us ask all the questions – be ready to ask some yourself. Show us that you really want this position. Asking the right questions will also help you decide whether this is a role you could really see yourself having a long and fulfilling career in.
