I studied for an International Marketing Master degree at Sheffield Hallam University in Sheffield. I decided to find a job, where I could apply my gained skills and knowledge, develop myself both personally and professionally and where I could be creative in order to reach a result. I did not know what recruitment is before joining SThree. I discovered that in this industry I gained freedom in my actions, but at the same time I was wisely supervised in order to hit my goals.
After university, I started to look for a role of my dreams in London. I have been active in this process; I contacted many direct employers and have had plenty of interviews. However, the majority of the positions offered were not exactly what I was expecting. In some places of work all I did was administrative activities, without meeting people and developing myself as a person.
Since I joined SThree and became a Recruitment Consultant, I felt that every day is completely different. In this role I have a great opportunity to plan my day, to be as creative as I can and be targeted for the result, which brought me huge financial benefits.
I achieved a lot in this role so far, I feel much more confident in meeting with both candidates and clients, I’ve become more organised and built my market knowledge very quickly.
Sometimes I face some challenges in my job, however I take small steps to overcome this and always keep a positive way of thinking in anything I do. Besides, I constantly remind myself that my efforts will pay off in the future.
I really enjoy working for SThree and I’m sure I can become a good Consultant and, as a prospective Senior Consultant in the future. I need to build my career patch and strengthen my market knowledge to reach this goal.
Training at SThree is the most wonderful thing ever! Almost immediately after joining the company, I was sent to the learning centre in London for 3 days. After that I learned so much, for instance, how to increase the pool of my clientele, how to overcome objectives over the phone, how to sell effectively and much more. After these courses I applied all this into my day plan in order to achieve substantial results. I also had internal training, arranged by more senior colleagues, who shared their tricks in different areas of recruitment.
My favourite part was how to overcome rejection which you can often hear when making cold calls. I understood the structure of how to make cold calling “warmer” and getting the most out of it.
What I really like at SThree is the corporate culture. Respect, Reward, Energy and Rapport are the key elements of this and that what makes working for this company a real pleasure.The office environment appeals to me as well. I can always get support from my colleagues, and I can count on their kind advice and whenever I feel lost, I will always be pointed in a right direction.
I was lucky to win an incentive to join a breakfast club in London, which was one of the numerous incentives that SThree offer. I enjoyed this experience a lot and I will do my best to hit the rest of the incentives as well.
SThree has great training, good structure of work, fantastic atmosphere and global opportunities. I always feel motivated to go to work, as I can control the success of my business as its in my hands.
